My company / Module overview

My company — module overview#

A module for a business that sells its own time and work — a tradesperson, a repair shop, a salon, a consultant. It holds the company profile shown on the site, the price list of services, references, a booking calendar for clients, and a record of jobs with a link to invoicing.

It is not an e-shop selling goods (that is the E-shop) nor a directory of other people's businesses (that is the Company directory). This is about your own company and the time a client books with you.

What it consists of#

The Moje firma section in the left-hand menu has five parts, two of them groups with a submenu:

Menu part Purpose
Firmy the company profile and its presentation on the site
Agenda a group — day-to-day operation, see below
Reference samples of work done
Nabídka a group — Services and price list and service groups
Kategorie the code list references are sorted by

The Agenda group:

Part Purpose
Jobs client folders; inside them the work sheets with hours and invoicing
Schedules the calendar — the main working screen
Calendars working hours, slot length, booking lead time
Time slots a table of windows, blocks and closed days
Reservations what clients booked, confirming and cancelling

The module has no Settings screen

Unlike the other modules, Moje firma is configured nowhere else — everything that can be switched sits on the company profile. Looking for settings under Systém is a waste of time.

Schedules is the screen you will use every day#

Moje firma → Agenda → Rozvrhy shows the calendar: year, month, week and day. In the day view you click a block on the timeline and write the reservation straight into it, block time off for yourself, or open a slot for booking. Nothing else needs to be opened for that.

Termíny and Rezervace are checking views by comparison: tables where you search, filter and correct the things that are hard to find one by one in a calendar.

The calendar is what carries the working hours#

The single most important thing to remember about this module: working hours, slot length and booking lead time belong to the calendar, not to the company. One company can have several calendars — two employees mean two independent schedules, each with its own working hours and its own colour.

Working hours live in two different places and each does something else

The working hours on the company profile are the opening hours printed for the visitor on the site. The offer of free appointments is driven by the working hours on the calendar. Fill in only one of them and the other will not match — the site will state opening hours different from the times the calendar offers.

  1. Company profile — name, contact, link to invoicing.
  2. In the Firmy listing, switch the company's Prezentovaná and Aktivní on.
  3. Company presentation — texts, logo, gallery, sections, team.
  4. Services and price list and the service groups.
  5. References — the first samples of work.
  6. A calendar — at least one, with working hours filled in.
  7. In the profile, switch Rezervace povoleny on.
  8. A test booking from the site, checking that it turned up both in Schedules and in Reservations.

A client booking only gets through if all three switches are on

The company must be Aktivní, Prezentovaná and have Rezervace povoleny. With any one of them missing, the form on the site turns the client away with an explanation and no reservation is created. Your own entry from Rozvrhy has no such gates — it is an internal tool, so you can write an appointment even into a company that is not on the site yet.

What the module does not do#

So that nobody hunts for what is not there: the module does not send SMS, has no recurring reservations, does not ask for payment up front for a booked slot, and does not synchronise with Google or Outlook calendars. It does send emails about reservations — see Reservations.

No email is sent about comments on jobs

If a client writes a comment on their work item, the only way you will learn about it is the badge on the row in the work sheet. Go through your open jobs regularly — otherwise the client is waiting for an answer nobody knows about.
