Payment methods#
How the customer pays — bank transfer, card, cash on delivery, cash on collection.
Find them under Eshop → Nastavení eshopu → Platební metody.
Method settings#

A method without a gateway is not a mistake
Bank transfer and cash on delivery need no gateway — the customer pays outside the site. Only online card payments require one.
🔴 The price is set for each combination with shipping#
This surprises almost everyone. The payment fee is not one number on the method. It is set for the shipping × payment pair, separately for each currency and with a validity date.
That produces a matrix:

An empty cell means the combination is not offered at all. Cash on delivery makes no sense with personal collection — and this is how it gets switched off.
Setting a pair#
For every combination you enter:

Prices are snapshots in time, just like on goods
A new price is created with a validity date; the old one stays. A fee can therefore change by itself if someone entered a future date earlier — see Price lists and VAT.
The most common trouble: a method missing from the cart#
In order:
- Is the method Available?
- Is it available for that specific shipping option the customer chose? This is the most common cause — the method is on, but the pair with that shipping is not.
- Is a price filled in for the order's currency? A missing price in euros hides the method in euros.
- Does valid from start in the future?
- Does the method have a gateway that is active? See Payment gateways.
After adding a carrier or a currency, go through the matrix
A new carrier and a new currency do not fill themselves into the matrix. Until you fill the combinations in, customers have nothing to pick with that shipping option and cannot complete the order.
Advance invoice#
The Advance invoice toggle suits bank transfers: the customer receives a document to pay, and the regular invoice is issued after payment.
Which document is issued at which status is decided by Order statuses.
Fee-free#
Besides the Free from threshold, specific goods can be exempted with the Platba zdarma toggle on the product set.
Before going live#
For every shipping option, walk a test order and confirm that:
- the expected payment methods appear,
- the fee is right,
- an online payment redirects to the gateway and back.
