Site appearance#
Here you choose which front-end template the site uses and in which colour variant.
Find it in Nastavení (settings; the link at the bottom of the left column), group Web → Vzhled webu (site appearance).
Choosing the appearance#
Templates are shown as a grid of cards, grouped into sections by the kind of site. Each card shows:

Clicking anywhere on the card (except the small preview in the corner) opens a window with the template's colour variants — Základní barvy (base colours) and others. Clicking a variant selects it: the window closes by itself, the card gets an outline and its preview switches to the chosen colour. The change is saved only when you press Uložit (save) or Použít (apply) at the bottom.
One click selects a template-and-colour pair
You do not pick a template and a colour separately. A variant in the window sets both at once — this way a new template can never end up keeping the previous template's colour variant by accident.
Template gallery#
The small whole-page preview in the corner of a card opens the ukázka šablony (theme preview) at full size. The switcher at the top chooses the Hlavní strana (home page), Podstránka (subpage) or Mobil (mobile) view. The preview uses the template's base colours; the chosen colour variant only changes the shades. The gallery is for viewing only, it does not select anything.
If a variant has no preview image, an area in the variant's colour is shown instead.

Procedure: change the site's appearance#
- Open Nastavení at the bottom of the left column and in the bar choose Web → Vzhled webu.
- Find the template you want to use — the grouping helps narrow it down. The gallery (the small preview in the corner of the card) shows the whole home page, a subpage and the mobile view.
- Click the template's card. A window with its colour variants opens.
- Click the variant you want to deploy. The window closes and the card gets an outline.
- Press Uložit.
- Load the site and check the result.
The colour variant used to live in Site identity
The colour variant used to be set separately on the Identita webu tab. It now sits together with the template in one place, so appearance is not decided across two screens.
The switcher on the site itself is something different
Some templates show a switcher in a corner of the site that lets a visitor change the appearance for themselves — but it only affects that visitor, through a cookie in their browser, and does not change the site's setting at all.
The screen is visible only with the matching permission
Anyone without the "Vzhled webu" permission will not see the screen in the Nastavení menu at all.
