For administrators#
This part of the manual is for the people who run the site — managing content, processing orders, issuing invoices and configuring the system. No programming knowledge is assumed.
First time here?
Start with First sign-in, then Finding your way around. They explain the screen layout and the terms used everywhere else.
How this part is organised#
Getting started — the shared basics. Layout of the administration, working with tables and forms, searching. These four chapters apply to every module, so they are worth reading before you dive into a particular area.
Site content — what the visitor sees: pages, menus, articles, news, events, galleries.
Users and permissions — visitor accounts as well as your own access. This is where you control who may do what, and why a colleague sees different menu items than you do.
Modules — E-shop, Warehouse, Invoicing, Classifieds, Company directory, My company, Discussion. Each module has an overview explaining how its parts fit together and a recommended order for setting it up.
Payments — the shared layer used by all modules: gateways, tariffs, membership and tracing payments.
Shared modules — comments, ratings, polls, newsletter and ad placements. They work across the whole site and are not tied to one module.
System — system-wide settings: site settings and identity, operator details, languages, currencies, VAT, email, notifications, files.

Two things worth knowing up front#
You will not see everything the manual describes
The manual documents the system as a whole. Your site may not have every module enabled, and your role may not have access to every section. A missing menu item is therefore not necessarily a fault — see Roles and privileges.
Changes take effect immediately
The administration has no "draft" state in the sense of parking changes somewhere. Once you save a record, it is saved. For content you do not want published yet, schedule the publication for later or leave the page or article hidden.
