My company / References

References#

Samples of work done, printed in the company presentation — projects, completed jobs, supplier logos, happy clients.

You will find them in Moje firma → Reference.

A reference's details#

The form has three parts: Základní údaje (basics), Logo reference (reference logo) and Galerie (gallery).

Field Purpose
Firma (company) which company the reference belongs to; required
Titulek (heading) required; the sample's title
Popis (description) what you did
Citace klienta (client testimonial) what the customer said
Klient (client) the client's name or company name
Datum realizace (completion date) when you finished the job
Odkaz (link) address of the finished work, a website for instance
Pořadí (order) position in the listing
Kategorie (použité technologie) (categories) placement into categories

The heading, description and testimonial are filled in per language; the Aktivní překlad (active translation) checkbox switches each language on.

Part What it holds Where it is used
Logo reference one image — the client's or supplier's mark the logo strip on the site
Galerie photos and videos of the job, drag-and-drop upload listings and featured projects

The first gallery item is the reference's main photo — exactly as with the company gallery. Reorder by dragging.

Four visibility flags#

A reference is not shown "everywhere it is switched on" — each flag lets it into a different place on the site.

Flag Where it lets the reference in Default
Veřejná (zobrazit na webu) (public) the master switch — without it, nowhere on
Ve výpisu referencí (in reference list) the overall listing of projects on
Vybraná realizace (hlavní strana) (featured) the large cards on the home page off
Logo v pásu dodavatelů (logo in supplier strip) the logo strip off

Without the Veřejná flag the other three do nothing

Veřejná is the master switch. Tick Vybraná realizace while leaving Veřejná off and nothing appears on the home page — and the administration says nothing, because both checkboxes look perfectly fine.

A reference with no logo does not drop out of the supplier strip — it prints as text

The field's hint promises Vyžaduje vyplněné logo reference (requires the reference logo), but the system does not enforce it. A reference without a logo appears in the strip as a text mark taken from its heading. That is deliberate — otherwise a freshly created partner would silently vanish from the strip with no way to tell why. If you want logos only, add the logo or untick the flag.

How many items a section holds is up to your ticking alone

The system trims no listing. Tick Vybraná realizace on twenty references and twenty large cards land on the home page. Stick to three to six.

The Reference list carries the same flags as columns: Veřejná, Pás log (logo strip), Ve výpisu (in list) and Vybraná (featured) — so they can all be checked at once, without opening the individual references.

Postup: add a reference#

  1. Open Moje firma → Reference and press Nová reference (new reference).
  2. Pick the Firma and fill in the Titulek.
  3. Add the Popis, and optionally the Citace klienta and the Klient.
  4. Enter the Datum realizace, and an Odkaz if there is one.
  5. Upload photos into the Galerie — the first one becomes the main photo. For a supplier, upload the Logo reference instead.
  6. Tick Veřejná plus the places you want the reference in: Ve výpisu referencí, Vybraná realizace, Logo v pásu dodavatelů.
  7. Fill in the Pořadí and save.
  8. Check the reference listing on the site.

Number the order in tens

Ten, twenty, thirty — then another reference can be slipped between two already ordered ones at any time without renumbering the whole listing.

A client's name and their testimonial are personal data

Get the client's consent before publishing a specific name or quote. Whoever puts a reference on the site is answerable for it — the system records no consent alongside a reference.

Categories#

Moje firma → Kategorie is a code list that sorts references — typically by the technologies or trades used ("Masonry", "Electrical").

Property How it works
what it sorts references only, nothing else in the module
who it applies to the whole module, not a single company
structure a tree — a category can have a parent
Field Purpose
Název kategorie (category name) required; per language
Nadřazená kategorie (parent category) placement in the tree
Obrázek / ikona (image / icon) the category's image
URL (href) the category's address; must be unique
Popis (description) supplementary text
Meta titulek, Meta popis, Meta klíčová slova data for search engines
Preferovaná (preferred) a flag for highlighting
Aktivní překlad (active translation) switches the language version on

Order and nesting are changed in the listing by dragging — the Setřídit (sort) button switches that mode on.

No theme currently prints the categories

The placement is stored and visible in the administration, but on the site the references are neither filtered by category nor shown with one. Fill them in only to keep the administration tidy — today they make no difference to what a visitor sees.

Preferovaná, URL and the meta fields do nothing anywhere yet

The fields are in the form because the categories were modelled on another module. Nothing in Moje firma reads them so far.

Moving a category takes its whole subtree with it

Dragging a node carries the entire branch. With a deeper tree, decide where you are dropping it before you let go — putting it back means dragging it again, node by node.
