Forbidden words#
A list of words visitors may not use in their texts. There is one list for the whole website, managed in one place.
You will find it under Základy → Uživatelé → Zakázaná slova (Basics → Users → Forbidden words, right below Blacklist). Only an administrator can see the screen.
List#
The list has the columns ID, Slovo (Word) and Aktivní (Active). The Aktivní switch turns a word off or on directly in the list, without opening the form. A word that is switched off stays in the list but is not checked.
Add a word with the new-word button, edit it by clicking its row and delete it with the delete action (one by one or the selected rows at once).
A word per language#
The form has a tab for every language of the website. In each tab you enter how the word reads in that language, and the Aktivní překlad (Active translation) switch decides whether it is checked in that language.
| Field | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Aktivní (Active) | turns the whole word off or on in all languages |
| Slovo (Word, in a language tab) | the form of the word for pages in this language |
| Aktivní překlad (Active translation, in a language tab) | off = the word is not checked in this language |
The check follows the language of the page the visitor submits the text on: Czech words apply on a Czech page, English words on an English page. Letter case does not matter.
Where words are checked#
| Where | What happens |
|---|---|
| Discussion — a new or edited post (subject and text) and a comment on a post | the text is not saved and the visitor sees the message "Text obsahuje zakázané slovo. Upravte ho prosím a odešlete znovu." (The text contains a forbidden word…) |
| Classifieds and company catalogue — parameters with a content filter | depending on the parameter settings the word is quietly replaced or the field reports an error, see Content filter |
Forbidden words do not restrict the administrator
Only visitors' texts are checked. What an administrator saves in the administration or what the task scheduler writes is not checked. That is why e-shop parameters, which only the administrator fills in, have no forbidden-words option at all.
Forbidden words or Blacklist?
The Blacklist rejects people (e-mail, phone, IP address). Forbidden words guard the content they write.
