Polls#
Simple voting on the site. Find them under Sdílené moduly → Ankety.
Poll, answers, placements#

Creating one#
- přidat → write the question for each language.
- Add the answers, in all languages too.
- Assign a placement where it should show.
- Switch on active.
Three to five answers are enough
A longer list goes unread and splits the votes so thinly that the result says nothing.
Voting#
Votes are counted on the answer. The system records the IP and time of each vote.
This only partly prevents repeat voting
An IP can be changed and several people may share one. For an entertaining poll that is enough; for anything that matters it is not.
A poll is not a decision-making tool
The result can be influenced and only whoever happened to visit votes. Treat it as a bit of colour on the page.
Changes while it runs#
Deleting an answer takes its votes with it
The totals then do not add up and the result misleads. If you no longer want to offer an answer, end the whole poll and start a new one.
Rewording the question invalidates the votes cast so far
People voted on something else. Fix the text only for a typo.
Ending a poll#
Switch active off. The poll and its results stay.
Run a poll only for a limited time
A year-old question makes the site look abandoned.
