Post text#
The Post text field has the same trimmed-down editor as the form on the website: bold, italics, underline, colours, alignment, lists and a table. It does not offer headings, links or images in the text — the server would drop them on save anyway. What you write in the editor is what gets saved and shown on the website, including list bullets and tables.
Photos belong among the post's images, links in the External link field
To add a photo or a link to the post, use the image upload (see Images) and the External link field, not the post text.
Moving within the tree#
A post can be moved by dragging in the list, or by changing its parent post.
Anything can be moved anywhere
The system does not check whether it makes sense. Dragging a reply under another topic breaks the conversation and readers stop understanding what was being replied to. Move with care.
Deleting from the list deletes every reply beneath it
Deleting the opening post makes the whole thread disappear. To remove just one post in the middle, delete it from its own detail.
Locking a thread#
There is no such thing. The closest is turning Allow comments off on the post, or deactivating it.
Switched-off comments apply on the website: the comment section is not shown under the post and the website does not accept a new comment. The author can switch comments off too — by unticking Show comments in the post form on the website. Comments that are on are paged by Comments per page from the settings.
Say in the post why it is being closed
Without an explanation it looks like a fault. Add a note at the end of the text and only then turn comments off.
Approval and confirmation#
A new post may wait for two things before it is published. They are independent:

A waiting post is not publicly visible — not in the listing, not in search, not on its detail. A logged-in author sees it among their own posts with a Čeká na schválení (awaiting approval) or Čeká na potvrzení e-mailem (awaiting email confirmation) label, and on its detail with an explanatory message. It cannot be commented on or recommended for now. After posting, the site tells the author straight away what the post is waiting for. Clicking the confirmation link again does no harm.
The post list has Schváleno (approved) and Potvrzeno (confirmed) columns with a filter Čeká na schválení / Čeká na potvrzení — a quick way to see what is waiting for you.
The setting decides only at the moment of posting
Changing Automatické schvalování or the confirmation switches neither hides nor publishes posts that are already in the forum.
A topic in a paid category also waits for payment
If a new topic is classified only in paid categories, it is published once it is paid. See Paid topic creation.
A forbidden word stops the post
When the subject or text of a post (new or edited) or a comment on it contains an active forbidden word in the page language, the site does not save it and shows the message "Text obsahuje zakázané slovo. Upravte ho prosím a odešlete znovu." (The text contains a forbidden word…). Posts added by the administrator are not checked.
A blocked e-mail or IP address cannot post
When a visitor writes with an e-mail or IP address on the blacklist, the website saves neither the post nor the comment and shows "Sending is not allowed: the e-mail, phone or IP address is blocked." Posts created in the administration are not checked.
Moderation#

Deactivate contentious posts rather than deleting them
If the author gets in touch, you have something to show.
Thumb ratings#
A post counts thumbs up and down. It uses the shared ratings component.
Older posts may show zero thumbs
Votes from the previous version of the forum were not carried into the new counter. It is not a display fault.
Images#
Uploaded by dragging, reordered by dragging, the first one is the main one.
If you click save before the images have finished uploading, the form waits, shows the message "Please wait until the files finish uploading — the form will then be saved automatically." and saves itself once the upload is done. Do not click anything else.
A removed image is deleted from the server too after saving
An image you remove from the post (even the last one) is deleted after saving, files included, unless something else uses it. The only way back is to upload it again.
Saving replaces the entire image list
If the upload field is not rendered on save — JavaScript off, a page error — the post saves without its attachments. Check the images after editing.
Guest post management#
Whoever posts without logging in gets an email with a Správa příspěvku (post management) link. With it they edit the post without a password and without an account. The link is valid for 7 days after posting; nothing is set up in the administration.
After the link expires, you edit on the author's behalf
If the author asks for a change later, edit the post in the administration.
