Company catalogue — module overview#
Company listings with contacts, a description and opening hours. It works much like the classifieds, but instead of goods on offer it holds company profiles.
What it consists of#
| Part | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Company profiles | the individual listings |
| Categories and parameters | trades and form fields |
| Tariffs and payments | paid listings and highlighting |
| Module settings | how the catalogue behaves |
🔴 A profile has no fixed fields#
As with the classifieds: the company name, company number, address, phone, description and opening hours are not database columns. They are parameters you create yourself.
Without parameters the listing form is empty
Before anyone can list the first company, you must create the parameters and target them at categories. There is no ready-made company form, because a restaurant catalogue needs different fields from a catalogue of tradespeople.
Opening hours have a field type of their own
Do not do them as text. The opening-hours field handles days and breaks and renders as a table on the site.
When a profile is visible#
A profile is active only when all at once:
- it is approved,
- it is paid for (or its category is free),
- it is not banned, deleted or deactivated.
This state cannot be set by hand
The system computes it from those flags.
Differences from the classifieds#
| Classifieds | Company catalogue | |
|---|---|---|
| Goods price | yes | no |
| Sold | yes | no |
| Followers | yes | no |
| Saved searches | yes | yes |
The missing price and sold flag are deliberate
A company is not for sale. The prices for the listing itself sit on the category.
Recommended order for the first setup#
- Parameters — name, company number, address, phone, web, description, opening hours, photos.
- Categories (trades) and parameter targeting.
- Prices on categories, or the "free" flag.
- Tariffs for highlighting.
- Module settings.
- A test listing all the way: entry → confirmation → approval → display.

Do not confuse the Company directory with the My company module
The Company directory is a listing of other people's businesses, which enter themselves and pay for the entry. My company is the opposite task: the presentation of your own company, its price list, jobs and bookings. The two have similar names in the menu but share not a single table — what you set in one has no effect in the other.
