Tariffs and payments#
Two things are paid for in the catalogue — a listing in a paid category and highlighting a profile.
A paid category#
The price sits on the category, per combination of region and payment gateway. A category marked as free is not paid for.
A company in several trades need only pay in one
If at least one category is free or settled, the profile shows.
Highlighting#
A highlighted profile is sorted to the top of listings. It is bought as a tariff with a validity period.
Highlighting is delivered by one specific tariff
Other tariffs do not extend it.
The tariff and the document#
A tariff carries two fields that decide what the invoice for paid highlighting looks like.
| Field | Meaning | If left empty |
|---|---|---|
| Typ produktu (fakturace) (product type for invoicing) | what is sold; picks the document layout | — výchozí dle nastavení — (default from settings) |
| Sazba DPH (%) (VAT rate) | the rate the tariff goes onto a document with | the default rate from the invoicing settings |
Zero as a rate is a valid value
0 % means a zero rate. An empty field means "take the default". They are not the same thing.
Tariff prices are entered excluding VAT
For a VAT-registered seller the entered price is raised by the tariff's rate at payment; for a non-registered one it is final as entered. Whether the customer sees the base or the tax-inclusive price follows the Zobrazovat ceny s DPH switch on the seller company card. In detail in Tariffs and membership. Premium SMS is the exception — see below.
The premium SMS price is entered as the FINAL price, including VAT
It is exactly what the customer pays the operator. Beside the field the form computes and shows Cena bez DPH: (price excl. VAT) — a hint for you only, it is not stored anywhere.
What happens after payment#
- The payment moves to paid.
- The profile's categories are marked as settled.
- The listing validity is moved on.
- Highlighting is extended, if it was that tariff.
Extension only goes up
A payment never shortens validity the profile already has.
Membership#
Access to a profile detail in a paid category can be made conditional on membership. Anyone without a valid one does not see the detail.
Membership is not the same as a paid listing
The company pays for the listing, to be in the catalogue. The visitor pays for membership, to see the details. Do not confuse the two when setting prices.
Think twice about charging for access to details
A catalogue where the contact details are not visible stops being used — and the companies then stop paying to be in it. It works only where the content is genuinely unique.
Manual intervention#
The profile has a tab of payment items.
Deleting a payment item shortens the highlighting
A manual change counts in both directions — remove an item and it is recalculated downwards, possibly to nothing.
Missing prices#
Without a price for a combination the item is not offered
Nothing reports it. After adding a gateway or a region, go through the price lists of both tariffs and categories.
