An alert you cannot click through to the thing it concerns is not read twice.

What triggers an alert#
Types such as a new order, a new complaint, a new payment, or a new contact-form message are set up in the system (you find them under Notification types), but right now only two sources actually produce an alert — a finished product import in the e-shop and a new booking in Moje firma. Do not expect the bell to ring for the other types yet, even though they are listed and look active.
A notification is not a substitute for email
You see it only while you are in the administration. For anything that cannot wait, have an email sent.
Disabling a type#
With the toggle on the notification type.
You cannot yet rely on the toggle to stop an alert
For neither of the two types that actually generate alerts today (product import, new booking) is the Active flag checked before the alert is created.
Housekeeping#
Read notifications accumulate.
Ones older than a month can be deleted
A bell with a thousand items stops being opened by anybody.
