Vacations#
Periods when you do not dispatch. Customers learn about it before they order.
Find them under Sklad → Dovolené.
What it is for#
Warehouses have lead times. A vacation interrupts them: for its duration, the time when nothing ships is added to the delivery estimate.

Which warehouses are affected#
The warehouse carries an Affected by vacations toggle. A warehouse with it off keeps dispatching.
Useful for consignment stock
Goods a supplier ships directly to the customer need not be delayed by your vacation. Exclude such a warehouse.
Enter it in advance#
Enter the Christmas break in November
A customer ordering on 22 December then sees the right date straight away. Entered at the last minute it helps nobody — the orders will already have been taken on a false promise.
When the estimate does NOT change, even though you entered a closure#
A closure shifts the dispatch day, not the transit time. Two consequences surprise people:
A closure starting AFTER the dispatch day does not affect the estimate
Goods that leave before it begins are not delayed. If you entered a closure and the estimates did not move, that is probably why — not that the setting failed to take effect.
Consecutive closures add up correctly
Enter two periods back to back and the system carries across both and finds the first genuinely free day. You do not have to merge them into one record.
For goods held in two warehouses the "slower" one can come out faster
What is compared is the resulting dispatch date, not the lead time on paper. A warehouse with a longer stated lead time that is not closed beats one with a shorter lead time that is.
What a vacation does not do#
The shop does not close
Orders keep coming, just with a later estimate. To genuinely stop selling, disable the goods or put up a flash message.
Reservations keep running
An order taken before the vacation holds its goods throughout. For a longer break, consider whether reservations should last longer too — see Reservations.
Afterwards#
A vacation ends by itself on its date. Keep the record — next year you can create the next one from it, and it shows when dispatch was paused in the past.
