Forgotten password#

The system emails you a link where you set a new password. Until you use the link, your current password keeps working.

Steps#

  1. In the sign-in form click forgotten password.
  2. In the Nickname or email address field enter your username or the email from your account.
  3. Click Recover password.
  4. Open your mailbox and click the link in the email.
  5. On the page that opens enter a new password (at least 8 characters) and repeat it in Password confirmation.
  6. Click Set password and sign in with the new password.

The link is valid for 1 hour and works only once

If it expires or you have already used it, have a new one sent. Each new link replaces the previous one.

Once the new password is set, the site signs you out on every device where you were signed in. You sign in again with the new password.

The form always gives the same answer#

After submitting you always see the same message: If the account exists, we have sent a link… That is true even when the account does not exist.

Why the form does not tell you

If it said "account not found", it could be used to find out who is registered on the site. You learn the outcome only from the email.

If nothing arrives within a few minutes, try again with the email instead of the name (or the other way round). You can have the link sent at most three times an hour.

When the message does not arrive#

The link only goes to the email stored in the account. If you no longer have access to that mailbox, contact the site operator and prove the account is yours (for example with the number of your last order).

Account created with Google, Facebook or Seznam#

Such an account has no password, but you can set one the same way: the link goes to the email the service passed to the site when you registered. After that you can sign in with the button as well as with a name and password.

Forgotten password for an advert or a company listing#

An advert or company listing posted without signing in has its own password. You recover that one by a link too — see Managing my adverts.

The new password#

Longer beats more complex

Three random words in a row are safer and easier to remember than eight characters with asterisks. The minimum is eight characters.

Do not just tweak the old one

Password2026 after Password2025 is the first thing anyone tries.

Never send your password to anyone

Nobody at the site operator needs your password. Whoever asks for it is not support.
