What you can do#

Editing#
Add, do not rewrite
If somebody has answered you and you rewrite the question, their answer stops making sense. Add the additional information at the end.
Say that it is an addition
"Update: solved by restarting" helps the next person with the same problem.
Deleting#
Deleting the opening post makes the whole thread disappear
Including the answers people wrote you. To close a question, add the solution instead of deleting.
Leave a solved question alone
That is exactly the thread that helps other people. A forum full of deleted questions is useless.
Images#
Attach them by dragging. The first is the main one.
Check the attachments after editing
Saving replaces the entire image list. If the field does not load properly, the attachments can disappear.
Thumb ratings#
Others can give your post a thumbs-up or thumbs-down rating.
Older posts may show zero thumbs
Votes from the previous version of the forum were not carried over. It is not that nobody appreciated you.
Promotion#
A promoted post is placed at the top of the listing.
On a small forum there is no point
On a forum with ten topics a month, you are noticed without it.
