The cart#
Goods ready to be ordered. The cart is stored on the server, so closing the browser does not delete it.
Adding and changing#
Add goods from the product detail, sometimes directly from a listing. In the cart, you can then change quantities and remove items.
Change quantities in the cart, do not keep adding
It is clearer and you avoid adding something twice by accident.
You can add at most 999 units of one item
If you need more, contact the seller β at that quantity the price is usually negotiated anyway.
Where you will see the cart#

Signing in merges the carts, it does not overwrite them
If you have goods partially selected on your phone and on your computer, signing in on both merges the items into one cart. You do not lose what you picked earlier.
A signed-out cart stays in the browser even after you sign out
On a shared or borrowed computer that means the next person sees your selection. In details: Signing in.
An unfinished cart is deleted automatically after a while
After about a month for signed-out visitors, after a year for signed-in ones. It is not a bug β abandoned carts just do not pile up forever.
π΄ The cart is not a reservation#
The price and availability are decided when the order is completed
Goods left in the cart are not held for you. The order is assembled by the server afresh and from the current price list β your browser sends only what you picked and how many units you chose. The price, discount and availability at the time of adding are not carried over.
Complete a discounted purchase straight away
A sale has an end date and a waiting cart recalculates to the regular price afterwards β with no warning, you simply see a different amount.
A shortage only shows up in the order
The e-shop will not accept an order it cannot cover from stock. If an item sells out while it sits in your cart, you find out at checkout.
Discount coupon#
The code goes in either in the cart or in the last step of the order.
A coupon has conditions and simply does not apply when they are unmet
Most often a minimum amount, an expiry date, or a restriction to selected goods. No explanation is shown β when the discount does not appear, check those three things.
How many coupons can be applied is up to the shop
Most often one. If you try to add another and cannot, that limit is why β not a broken software error.
Free shipping above an amount#
Where shipping is free above a certain amount, the cart shows how much is missing.
Applying a coupon can drop you below the threshold
The discount comes off the goods, so the amount the threshold is calculated from can fall. Check the shipping price before completing the order.
When goods disappear from the cart#

From the cart you continue to the order β address, shipping, payment.
