The forum#
A discussion where you ask questions and answer other people's questions.
How it works#
The forum is divided into categories. Each holds topics, with replies beneath them.
Before starting a topic#
Try searching first
Most questions have already been asked. If you find the answer, you are done at once — and the forum does not fill up with the same query.
Pick the right category
A question in the wrong category is read by fewer people and may be moved.
A good question#

The subject line should state the essential point
Nobody opens "Help!!!". "Order stuck at card payment" they do.
The text of a post can have at most 10,000 characters. A counter in the bottom right of the field shows how many you have typed; formatting (bold, lists) does not count.
Replying#
You reply under a particular post, so it is clear what you are responding to.
Answer what was written
Not what you think the asker meant.
No comment button? Sign in
The site can allow comments under posts to signed-in users only. Instead of the Add comment and reply buttons you then see the message "Only logged-in users can comment."
No comments under a post at all? The author switched them off
When writing a post you can untick Show comments. Comments are then not shown under that post and cannot be added.
When there are many comments, they are split into pages. Move between them with the Newer comments and Older comments buttons.
What happens after you submit#
Depending on the site, a new post may wait a while before it appears in the forum. Right after submitting, the site tells you what it is waiting for:

Others cannot see a waiting post in the listing, in search or on its own page. You will find it in My posts with a Čeká na schválení (awaiting approval) or Čeká na potvrzení e-mailem (awaiting email confirmation) label, and opening it shows a message saying what it waits for. It cannot be commented on or recommended for now.
Paid categories
The site may charge for starting a topic in some categories. Only a new topic is paid for; replies are free. If you put the topic into at least one free category, you pay nothing. If the topic is in several paid categories, paying for one of them is enough. You will find an unpaid topic in My posts with the Čeká na platbu – zaplatit (awaiting payment – pay) badge; its page has a Zaplatit (pay) button.
Blocked e-mail or IP address
If your e-mail or IP address is blocked on the site, neither the post nor the comment is saved and you see the message "Sending is not allowed: the e-mail, phone or IP address is blocked."
No email with the link? Check your spam folder
The link goes to the address you entered when writing.
The rules#
Advertising is usually banned
A link to your own shop in answer to a question is the quickest route to a ban. You can recommend a product without a link.
Do not publish other people's personal details
Not their name, address or phone. Not even in a dispute.
Do not write what you would not say to somebody's face
It stays in the forum and will be found a year later, when you no longer remember it.
Thumb voting#
Posts usually include thumbs-up and thumbs-down ratings. The counts are totalled on the post.
Older posts may show zero thumbs-up or thumbs-down ratings
Votes from earlier were not carried into today's counter. It is not a display fault and they cannot be recomputed retroactively.
Voting may be for signed-in users only
As may writing topics and comments — the site configures each of the three separately. If you cannot see the thumbs, that is probably why.
Reporting#
Each post carries a report link. A moderator reviews reports.
Reporting does not hide a post
It is a signal to a moderator, not a delete button.
Without registering#
Depending on the site, you may be able to post without an account. After posting you get an email with a Správa příspěvku (post management) link, which lets you edit the post later — without a password and without signing in.
The link is valid for 7 days after posting
After that the post can no longer be edited without an account — what remains is asking a moderator. Do not forward the link: whoever has it can edit the post.

🔴 Deleting a topic deletes every reply too#
In this forum a topic and a post are the same thing — a reply is simply a post nested beneath another.
Delete your opening post and the whole thread disappears
Including replies written by other people. In the listing it looks like deleting a single row. If you only want to withdraw your question, edit it instead.
