Saved searches#

A stored search. You say what you are after and an email arrives as soon as somebody posts it.

You need to be signed in

A saved search belongs to an account.

Creating one#

  1. Search for what you are after.
  2. Click save search or saved search.
  3. Check the category and region.
  4. Save.

What it can match on#

Condition Note
Category subcategories included
Region districts and municipalities beneath it included
Type, brand optional narrowing

Choose the category and region broadly

A saved search on "Cars β†’ Passenger β†’ Estate" in one district sends one message a month. "Cars" across a whole region gives you a real picture.

πŸ”΄ It reacts only to new adverts#

Edits and moves of an existing advert are not announced

A seller who posted into the wrong category by mistake and then moved it never reaches you this way. So look through the category by hand occasionally.

When the emails go out#

Either straight after posting, or once a day as a digest. The operator decides.

A digest is not a fault

A daily summary is a common setting. It means you miss nothing, you simply hear about it in the evening.

When nothing arrives#

  1. Is the saved search active?
  2. Is it set too narrowly? Try widening it.
  3. Look in spam.
  4. Are new adverts appearing in that category at all?

Test it with a manual search

If searching the same category and region by hand finds nothing new, the saved search is working correctly β€” there is simply nothing there.

Cancelling#

In the saved-search overview. It can also be deactivated temporarily.

Turn it off once you have bought

Otherwise the messages keep coming for months.
