Registration#
Creating an account. It takes a minute and saves you from typing your address every time.
Steps#
- Click register.
- Choose the account type. It is the first field and it decides the rest of the form β a business type reveals fields for the company number, VAT number and company name.
- Choose a username β at least 5 characters, and it must not be taken.
- Enter your email β it has to be valid and not already in use.
- Choose a password (at least 5 characters) and repeat it in the second field.
- Fill in the remaining details (name, phone, address) and submit.
The form changes once you pick the account type
That is not a bug β a business account needs different details than a personal one. Switching the type makes fields appear or disappear.
The name and the email are checked against existing registrations
When the form says the name is taken, it is not a typo β somebody already has it. Choose another one.
π΄ Remember your username#
The most important thing about the whole registration.
You sign in with your username, not your email
This is the most common reason people cannot sign in. The email is used for password recovery and for messages, but the sign-in field wants the name you chose. See Signing in for details.
Choose a name you will recall
Not xk_2026_new. Ideally something you use elsewhere too.
The password#
Longer beats more complicated
Three random words in a row are safer and easier to remember than eight characters with asterisks. The form requires at least five characters β treat that as a floor, not as a recommendation.
Do not reuse a password you have elsewhere
If another site leaks it, you lose this account too. That goes double for an account holding your address and your orders.
Activating the account#
If the site requires confirmation, an email with a link arrives after registering and the account is fully functional only once you click it.
Not arrived? Look in your spam folder
Automated messages land there often. If it is not there either, there was probably a typo in the address β register again with the correct email.
The link is valid for a limited time
Clicking it after several days may not work. Then ask for a new one.
Signing in through Google or Facebook#
If the site offers buttons for other services, you do not have to create a password β see Signing in.
An account through Google has no password, so there is no password to recover
"Forgotten password" will not help there β there is nothing to send. Lose access to your Google account and you lose access here too.
Always use the same route
Sign in once with a button and once with a name and password and you may end up with two accounts β with your orders and adverts split between them.
Buying without registering#
You can also buy as a guest. But you fill in your address every time and you will not see an overview of your orders.
Orders placed as a guest are not linked to an account automatically
If you want everything in one place, register before your first purchase. Registering later will not merge the old orders.
