Listing a company profile#
Steps#
- Click list a company.
- Choose a trade — the form fields depend on it.
- Fill in the name, address and contacts.
- Write a description of what you do.
- Enter your opening hours.
- Add a logo and photographs.
- If you are not signed in, set a password for editing.
- Submit and confirm using the link in the email.
The form is empty until you choose a trade
The fields differ by trade. It is not a fault.
The trade#
Choose the trade as precisely as you can
Customers search for "plumber Kolín", not "services". A more precise classification means fewer pointless enquiries and more of the right ones.
You can list under several trades
If your company does two different things, list it under both. With paid categories, expect to pay for each.
Name and description#
Say what you do, not what kind of company you are
"Bosch and Siemens washing machine repairs, Kolín and surroundings, within 24 hours" says more than "We are a dynamic company with a long tradition".
State the area you cover
For trades and services it is the first thing people ask.
Contacts#
Check the phone number and email
A typo in a contact means a listing nobody can reach you through — and you will think the catalogue does not work.
Opening hours#
Entered in a dedicated field — days, hours, and any lunch break.
Check the opening hours after saving
It is the most complex field on the form and may be saved empty if the browser plays up.
State when you are closed too
A customer who arrives to a closed door does not come back.
Photographs#
The first photograph appears in the listing
Put the premises or a piece of your work there, not the logo — that is shown separately.
The editing password#
If you list without signing in, you set a password — without it the system could not tell the listing is yours.
If you forget it: the listing's edit page has a link for sending a new password. The system generates one and sends it to the email given in the listing, together with links to the profile and to its edit form.
The password can be recovered, you do not have to list the company again
A new listing would mean losing the ratings and the position in the directory.
After entering the password you have two hours of access
Then it closes and you enter the password again.
The new password goes only to the email in the listing
It cannot be sent anywhere else — otherwise anyone could take over someone else's company. If you lose access to that mailbox, you will need to contact the operator.
Better to list the company while signed in
With an account, you do not need to keep track of a password and have all your listings in one place.
