• Slot: a row with a time range. public = 1 is the manager's day override (it defines the bookable windows of the day), public = 0 is a reservation carrier (a materialized range that makes the time taken); see TimeSlotManager.
  • ClosedDay: overrides the whole day as closed (holiday); takes precedence over everything.
  • Blocked: an admin block (internal meeting, service, break). It takes any sub-interval of the day exactly like a reservation, but without a client and without e-mails; it never offers a window, it only removes time. Only free time can be blocked (an overlap with an active reservation or another block fails with VALIDATION_FAILED in TimeSlotManager::beforeSave()); deleting a block is unrestricted.

NOTE: the type column is a varchar(16), so a new case needs no database alter.
